Theme: Mathematics in the New Normal – Adapting,Connecting and Enjoying
Quiz Bee
- The contest is open to all students of St. Vincent de Paul Academy of Novaliches.
- Each grade level can have one entry or more.
- Quiz Bee will be online.
- The participants that gains the highest score will be the winner.
Mathematician Look-a-Like
- The contest is open to all Preschool- Grade 12 students of St. Vincent de Paul
Academy of Novaliches. - Each grade level can have one entry or more.
- Each representative will send a picture of them portraying or imitating the
mathematician looks and style. - Entries must be submitted to the advisers not later than November 20, 2020
(Friday). - The contest will be judged according to the following criteria:
- Likeness (50%)
- Creativity and presentation (40%)
- Originality (10%).
- The top three gaining the highest scores from the judges will be the winners.
Poster and Slogan Making Contest
- The contest is open to all Grade 4- 12 students
- Each participant should submit ONE entry only.
- The poster must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme of the Math
Month 2020 celebration: (“Mathematics in the New Normal: Adapting,
Connecting and Enjoying”). - The following materials will be used in the contest:
- Illustration board (white background & horizontal or vertical format).
- Coloring material: oil pastel, markers, ink, mixed media, oil, acrylic and watercolor and any other coloring material not mention above.
- Entries must be submitted to the advisers not later than November 20, 2020 (Friday).
- The poster and slogan will be judged according to the following criteria:
- Creativity and presentation (40%)
- Originality (30%)
- Relevance to the theme (30%).
- The three posters or slogans receiving the most points win.
Math Dance Contest
- The contest is open to all Grade 4- Grade 12 students
- Each grade level/strand can have one entry.
- Minimum of 4 members each grade level/strand.
- Representatives will make minimum of 4 minutes dance related to the theme (“Mathematics in the New Normal: Adapting, Connecting and Enjoying”).
- Participants will record themselves while dancing. They can use any
background music or any instruments that is connected to the theme. - Representatives must submit the video to their advisers not later than
November 20, 2020. - The contest will be judged according to the following criteria:
- Originality (40%)
- Creativity and Presentation (40%)
- Relevance to the theme (20%)
- The top three gaining the highest scores from the judges will be the winners.
Rubiks Cube
- The contest is open to all Grade 4-Grade 12 students
- Each grade level/strand can have one entry or more.
- This contest will be online.
- Use 3×3 rubiks cube.
- The top three fastest time will be the winners.
